Our story
Built by people who genuinely care about tourism
We created Riveco because arranging a boat or a professional guide can still involve many separate enquiries, unclear availability and slow communication. Our goal is simple: bring suitable local providers together in one transparent process while keeping real people responsible for every important decision.
Riveco begins in Budapest, a city we know and love, with a long-term vision to offer the same locally grounded approach in other European river cities.
Founder · Concept and operations
Zoltán Balogh
Zoltán created the Riveco concept and develops its operating model, partner network and customer journey. He combines hands-on tourism experience with a practical understanding of how groups, guides and local service providers need to work together.
His role is to ensure that the technology serves a real operational process—not the other way around.
Professional guide · Guest experience
Natalia Tsentylo
Natalia is a professional Budapest guide who works directly with international visitors. Her day-to-day experience helps shape how guide requests are handled, what travellers need to know and what creates a warm, trustworthy local experience.
She brings the human perspective behind Riveco’s guide services and guest communication.
AI transparency
Human expertise, intelligently supported
Riveco openly uses artificial intelligence to reduce repetitive administration and improve response times. AI supports our team; it does not replace professional judgement, local knowledge or personal responsibility.
Where AI helps
- Structuring incoming enquiries
- Matching requests with potentially suitable boats and guides
- Supporting multilingual communication and translations
- Organising partner responses and booking status
- Helping our team respond faster and avoid missed details
Where people decide
- Approving and maintaining the partner network
- Reviewing unusual or complex requests
- Confirming service details, pricing and availability
- Handling customer questions and operational problems
- Making final booking and quality decisions
Our principle: technology helps us work faster. Local knowledge, verified information and human judgement make the service trustworthy.
How we work
A clear process from enquiry to confirmation
1. Real request
You tell us the date, time, group size and service you need. We only request information relevant to arranging the service.
2. Suitable providers
The system helps identify relevant partners. Providers confirm their own availability and submit their own offers.
3. Transparent choice
You receive the available options and can compare the important service details before making a selection.
4. Human confirmation
A booking becomes final only after the selected provider confirms availability and the agreed booking conditions are recorded.
Trust and responsibility
Clear roles, careful data handling
- Riveco coordinates enquiries and connects travellers or agencies with relevant independent service providers.
- The actual boat trip or guiding service is delivered by the provider identified in the booking process.
- Customer contact details are not shared with every provider during the initial quotation stage.
- Personal contact information is shared only when required to complete and operate the selected service.
- Prices, inclusions, provider details and applicable conditions are presented before final confirmation.
- We do not claim qualifications, partnerships or guarantees that have not been verified.
Riveco is being developed carefully and transparently. Formal operator, invoicing and contractual details applicable to a booking are provided in the relevant confirmation and service documentation.
